Longest continuous poker game

French streamer Albert Solal, who played online non-stop for 30 hours in a row, “entered” another poker achievement into the Guinness Book of Records, surpassing the record of Tom Maaswinkel from the Netherlands, whose marathon lasted 24 hours.

In the history of pоker, there are still many achievements that remain forever on the pages of the Guinness Book of Records. In particular, in 2009, another French poker player, the star Bertrand “Elky” Grospellier, managed to play online simultaneously at 62 SnG tables for an hour. He ended the session in the positive, albeit by a modest $23.6, which allowed the record to find official confirmation. The longest continuous poker game is 124 hours. The recоrd went to the amateur player Zach Gensler, who dethroned the famous professional Phil Laak. Back in 2010, he played $10/$20 cash tables continuously for 115 hours.

The longest continuous offline poker tournament lasted 48 hours and 55 minutes. The Manila Iron Man Poker Challenge was held in the Philippines in 2013, and the winner of that gruelling event was American Damon Schulenberger. He managed to earn $18,240. Year after year, new players appear in the list of Guinness records for longest continuous poker game.

Everyone was surprised when a player spent just over 36 hours at the poker table in Delaware. Then the record was almost 49 hours, the most enduring was the American Damon Schoenberger. For this marathon, he received 18 thousand dollars in prize money. His result was later beaten by Paul Zimblen, who spent 78 hours at the table, but, unfortunately, he did not get into the Guinness Book of Records. Next winner emerged Phil Luck. Just think – as many as 115 hours of poker play. Almost 5 days!

The game that made Phil Luck famously took place in Las Vegas. Those who wish could watch what was happening on the Internet. The fight was broadcast online and gathered about 140 thousand curious people on the screens. During all this time, Phil did not drink coffee and did not use any stimulants. In total, he sat at the poker table for 115 hours. Although every hour he was given the right to a five-minute break. And only once in 5 days did he accumulate these pauses in order to sleep for half an hour. Phil Luck’s record has been officially registered. After that, the player said that he feels great and he does not need medical help. True, during the longest game of poker, he lost 3 kilograms. In fact, this is a truly unique achievement. It is incredibly difficult to closely follow the course of the game, to have time to analyze, and calculate the moves, staying so long without sleep. The record-breaking winner won $7,000. By the way, Luck donated half of the amount earned to charity.
